Pets Policy

Due to the location of the lodge, pets are not permitted in the Lodge/Hotel.

Children Policy

  • Max 02 children below 6 yrs. free sharing room with parents without extra bed.
  • All Children 7 to 12 yrs. will be charged. However, a maximum of one child's bed can be placed in a room.
  • Above 12 years are taken as an adult and charged as actual.

Arrival and Departure Policy

Early arrival is subject to availability. For guaranteed early check-in, reservation needs to be made starting from the previous night. All arrivals prior to 08:00 am are billed from the previous night.

Late check-outs are available on request and subject to availability.

Check-Out after 10:00 Hours are subject to the following charges:
25% of the room rate between 12:00 Noon and 14:00 hours,
50% of the room rate between 14:00-18:00 hours
100% of the room rate after 18:00 hours (Subject to availability on the date of departure)
The lodge reserves the right to charge for the entire duration of stay, in the event of an early departure.

A recent Government notification requires guests to present proof of identity at the time of check in. All guest are requested to carry with them the required document during their travel. (Driving License / Passport / Aadhar Card / Election Card)

Guarantee Rules/Deposit Policy

All bookings must be guaranteed at the time of reservation against advance payment or Authorized Travel Agency voucher. All major credit cards are accepted. For reservations guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until lodge check-out time the day following arrival. For reservations not guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until 16:00 hrs as per the Lodge policy.

Exchange Rate

Rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the Lodge at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the lodge's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Please contact the lodge if you have any questions.

Rate/Reservation Validity

Please note that electronic reservation confirmations are provided to you solely for your convenience and that we retain official records of our reservation transactions, including details of dates of stay and room rates. In the event of discrepancies, alterations, modifications, or variations between this confirmation and our official records, our official records shall control. Tampering with this confirmation to alter the room rate, or any other reservation information is strictly prohibited and may have legal consequences.

Effective 2nd October 2008, the Government has introduced a "No-Smoking" legislation for hotels, restaurants and all public places. As a consequence, smoking is prohibited in all parts of the Lodge except in designated areas where smoking is permitted.

Smoking Policy:

The lodge cottages are all non-smoking.

Cancellation/ No-Show Policy

  • Non-arrival of the guest amounts to a no-show.
  • Reservation must be canceled 14 days prior to the date of arrival. In case of cancellation made within 14 days no refund.
  • For Diwali and X-Mas Reservation must be canceled 21 days prior to the date of arrival. In case of cancellation made within 21 days no refund
  • For any type of cancellation 6.5% of standard dedication will be applicable as a transactions charge.
  • No Refund in case of road block, accidents, no show etc.

All Room reservations during Diwali and X-Mas season with advance payment will be accepted.

Holiday season supplement will be charged extra which is during Diwali and X-Mas season.


Guarantee and Cancellation Policies

  • Asiatic Lion Lodge, Sasan Gir bound to honour bookings only when a confirmation letter is issued. This is done after we have received a booking request either through e-mail or fax with payment of the initial deposit.
  • An initial deposit of 50% of the total invoice is required to confirm your booking. However, Asiatic Lion Lodge, Sasan Gir reserves the right to request for a higher and at times a non-refundable deposit, in which case you will be notified in writing at the time of booking.
  • The remaining 50% balance is prior to the arrival date. If the remaining balance is not paid in time, we reserve the right to release the booking and apply the cancellation conditions set out below.
  • Cancellations must be intimated in writing. As this incurs administrative and other costs, we will apply cancellation fees should a booking be cancelled within the specified periods.
  • No adjustments or refunds in case of not availing any facility from the package/lodge.
  • Payments will be accepted by bank transfers, debit card / credit card. We do not accept cash payments for advance bookings.
  • We accept Visa Card / Master Card/American Express Card

  • All TAX/ GST does not include. If any Changes In Tax/GST structure From Government then TAX /GST may change accordingly.
  • 18% GST will be applicable on actual billing amount.
  • Terra Eco Tourism Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to change the room rates and polices without giving any prior notice.


All guests should take adequate and necessary insurance before arriving at Asiatic Lion Lodge Sasan Gir. The Lodge is a wilderness base located on the outskirts of Gir National Park, a wildlife sanctuary and Lion reserve. There are real dangers and risks associated with wilderness base arising from the presence of wild and dangerous animals, reptiles and insects. While we exercise all care, we do not accept responsibility for any illness/injury/accident/death arising of any activity forming part of your visit to the lodge. Furthermore, Asiatic Lion Lodge, Sasan Gir (a unit of Terra Ecotourism Pvt. Ltd.) accept no liability for loss of or damage to personal belongings.


Guest cannot bring alcohol into the lodge without proper liquor permit issued by concern Govt. Department. Guest is asked to be considerate of others at all times and to follow the Forest Department rules around acceptable behavior, in the interests of a safe and happy experience for everyone. Loud music, littering and speeding for the gates amongst other offenses are not acceptable in the Gir National Park and Sanctuary area. Guests are advised that without Forest department permit or permission, they are not supposed to enter in forest area. Safari is only permitted in designated area only. As per the wildlife protection act; entering without permission or permit is a legal offence and lodge management shall not be responsible at any sort of act done by guest.


Asiatic Lion Lodge has limited outside lighting. This is to reduce light pollution and allow the stars to shine down. If moving about the area at night (even to go to the Reception or Restaurant) ensure that you have a flashlight (torch), as walking in the dark can be quite hazardous.


  • Any postponement of the booking will be treated as a cancellation & will be governed by the Cancellation Policy.
  • Refunds only through cheque for bookings made by cheque/bank transfer.
  • The original receipt must be presented for processing the refund.
  • Payment via online transfer/Credit card /debit card will be charged extra 6.5% against cancellations as transaction charge.
  • It is not our intention to cause any loss to you and again urge you to book with us after your travel plans have been finalized.
  • Change of Date and early departure will also be considered as a cancellation and you will be asked to pay for the nights that you have booked if you wish to leave earlier.
  • By booking with us, it is understood that you have accepted the above terms.
  • A reservation is not considered canceled until you receive our cancellation confirmation via email.
  • The cancellation policy applies to all situations (medical reasons, transport delays, weather conditions etc.)
  • Lunch on departure day is not included. In case you wish to have lunch, an additional supplement is applicable for the same with prior notice.
  • We accept Visa, Master, American Express Credit Cards for payments towards extras at the lodge. Cash payments are accepted in Indian Rupees of up to Rs. 25,000. For payments of Rs. 25,000 and above we require a photocopy of PAN card and original card for verification from Indian nationals and passport copy from foreign nationals
